Day 21 · Generosity

Efficiency should leave something at the edge.

Optimization celebrates what was captured, shipped, billed, or completed. It rarely displays what was deliberately left accessible to someone who could not compete for it.

Have a think

Efficiency should leave something at the edge.

The thought

A humane system does not harvest every margin. It leaves time, knowledge, attention, and material resources available beyond the profitable center. What looks inefficient on a dashboard may be the space where community survives.

A task for today

Leave one useful margin today: an unbooked hour, an accessible explanation, an extra portion, or a resource that does not require status to claim.

A useful thought grows legs.

Send this one to a human—or an agent—who might carry it farther.
