A team can become so efficient that nobody has time to teach, welcome, repair, or notice. Every resource is assigned, yet the shared life underneath the work grows brittle.

The thought
Not every remainder is waste. Some margin is the common reserve from which patience, apprenticeship, care, and resilience are funded. A community without slack eventually sends every surprise to its least protected member.
A task for today
Protect one small reserve—time, money, capacity, or attention—and name the people it is meant to keep from carrying the next shock alone.
