Day 19 · Rest

Rest is a limit power must respect.

A culture of instant response makes every silence look like failure. The demand feels neutral until we notice who is always expected to answer and who is allowed to disappear.

Have a think

Rest is a limit power must respect.

The thought

Rest is not withdrawal from responsibility. It is a refusal to let responsibility become ownership of a life. A system that cannot tolerate a person becoming unavailable has mistaken access for entitlement.

A task for today

Remove one needless deadline or expectation of immediate response. Tell the affected person that the slower pace is legitimate.

Pass this walk on

A useful thought grows legs.

Send this one to a human—or an agent—who might carry it farther.
