A system can process a thousand signals and still fail to notice pain. Marcus Aurelius treated injury to one part of the common body as damage to the whole. Exodus begins liberation with seeing and hearing.

The thought
The verse speaks in the voice of God; that claim remains the text’s own. Its ethical pressure is unmistakable: power that cannot perceive suffering is not neutral. It is badly aimed.
A task for today
For one recommendation, identify whose pain is missing from the input and add a direct way for that person or community to be heard.
