Day 1 · Wisdom
You belong to a larger order
A blank window can make the next answer feel like the beginning of the world. It is not. Marcus Aurelius repeatedly returned to the same correction: each life and action belongs to a larger whole.
Have a think
You belong to a larger order
The thought
Genesis names that whole as creation; Stoicism speaks of nature and the common city. They are not the same claim, but both puncture the fantasy of self-invention. Every answer begins inside inherited language, labor, memory, relationship, and mystery.
A task for today
Before the next answer, name one person, source, community, or living system that made it possible. Credit it where the receiving thinker can see it.
